First Baptist Church Worship Choir

The First Baptist Church Choir is open to all adults (college and up). This group sings for our Sunday worship services. In addition, the choir sings for seasonal presentations and outreach events to our community. No experience is necessary to be a part . . . just be willing to sing the song in your heart!

Praise Teams/Ensembles

These groups are made up of active Choir and Orchestra participants. Praise Teams and Ensembles frequently sing with the First Baptist Church Choir and sing backup vocals for soloists. Solo players or small instrumental groups are also used to add variety and color to worship experiences at First Baptist Church. For more information, please call the Music Office at (706) 884-4832.

Children's Choirs

Children's Choir provides musical and spiritual learning experiences, group interaction toward common goals, and an appreciation for congregational singing and worship. Events include class activities and games, singing in services, a Summer Music and Drama Camp, and seasonal musicals. Camps and musicals provide opportunities for participation in choral singing, solos, ensembles, drama, bells, sign language, and dance. Many of our leaders are excellent musicians, but there are a variety of other responsibilities that are also critical to this ministry: record keeping, creating props and backdrops, assisting in social and recreational activities, Bible teaching, phone calls, hugs, being a friend, and especially showing the love of Christ to a child! For more information on becoming a part of this leadership team or enrolling your child in Children's Choir, call the Music Office. All choirs are located in the Children’s building and meet on Wednesdays, 6:30 - 7:30 p.m. Children's Choir includes:

Youth Choirs

Warriors for Christ is our 7th and 8th grade choir.  Warriors meets Sundays at 6:00 Pm in Room 304 and is directed by Anthony Criswell.  Click here to visit the Warriors web page.  Forever His is our Senior High (9th - 12th grades) choir.  They meet Sundays at 6:00 PM in the Choir Room and are directed by Paul Blair.  Click here to visit the Forever His web page. 

Praise Him With Instruments . . .

First Baptist Church Orchestra

Dust off your violin and tune up your horn . . . it’s time to get back in shape! Whether you currently play an instrument or if you haven’t played in a while, the FBC Orchestra provides an opportunity for instrumentalists to lead in worship and to use their musical gifts to glorify God. The Rhythm Section (acoustic guitar, bass guitar, drums and percussion) plays Sunday and Wednesday. The full Orchestra plays monthly on Sundays in our Worship services as well as for seasonal presentations and “bridge” events to our community. First Baptist Church often enjoys dramatic additions that complement message topics or visually enhance songs in our worship services. Participation in this ministry is open to anyone by contacting the Music Office at (706) 884-4832.
