Softball Rain Line

Troup County Parks and Recreation decisions for field playability are made by 3:00 PM the day of any scheduled games and are posted by the City Recreation department on the Rain Line at 883-1670.  Games may be rescheduled at the end of the season if teams are in contention for playoff spots.

In the event of rain that starts after games begin, the plate umpire will make the decision of whether or not to continue play. Umpires in this position will wait a minimum of 10 minutes before calling a game off.

For Friday games, teams are advised to report to their scheduled field for a determination (by the plate umpire) about whether or not the field is in playable condition. Teams not furnishing enough players to field a team for a game determined to be playable must forfeit the game.
