WOW!  What an incredible trip and experience.  Capitan Crunchie, Tartlets and the Evergreen, Sunshine Village, the Banff gondola, Johnston Canyon Icewalk and personal tour of Lake Louise (complete with a frozen waterfall) lead by our own by Dr. Baxter where all just a part of our wonderful spring break trip.  Great fun, great food and, most important of all, great relationships will be remembered for a lifetime.

Our brave group traveled from LaGrange, Georgia to Banff, Canada from April 4th through April 9th.  On Monday, after arriving in Calgary, we rented vans and traveled westward to arrive in Banff.  The mountains rising before us were spectacular to view and gave us all the expectation of an awesome experience with God, His creation and fellowship with our new companions.  Tuesday's adventure was highlighted by Dr. Baxter's personal escort onto Lake Louise and a visit to the frozen waterfalls and glacier.  The children were supposed to be the ones enjoying a slide down the frozen falls, but a video and pictures prove it was not just the kids who wanted to play!  Wednesday was a beautiful day for our group to travel to Sunshine Village for a day on the slopes.  Thursday dawned as an even more beautiful day.  The cold and wind from Wednesday were gone and we took the Banff Gondola to the top of Sanson's Peak.  The warmth of the day allowed us to visit the original Banff springs and museum later in the afternoon.  Friday may have provided the highlight of the trip for many of us.  The cold returned and our group traveled to Johnston Canyon.  The canyon contains a beautiful trail along a frozen creek, waterfalls and rock cliffs all in the midst of a pristine evergreen forest.  Around every corner and each turn, the view seemed more and more spectacular until reaching the Upper Falls.  Click on the slide show link below to view the beauty God created in the Canadian Rockies and catch a glimpse of the great time we all experienced!
