Congratulations to the First Baptist Church 1 men's team for taking home the season championship.  The season ended with First Baptist and Church of Christ in a tie by record and games against each other.  Only 1 point separated the teams in their play against one another, which seeded the Church of Christ first in the tournament.

The following table shows the final 2008 season standings.  Standings were used to seed the season ending tournament.  See the explanation below the tables to learn what tiebreaking options are used for teams with identical records.

Teams with identical records are placed in the following order:

  • 1st tiebreaker - who beat who
    COC and FBC were tied at 12-2
    COC and FBC split the season series 1-1
    HBC won the season series vs MSBC 2-0

  • 2nd tiebreaker - point differential between the 2 teams in the games they played against each other.
    COC outscored FBC by 1 point in the season series

  • 3rd tiebreaker - total point differential between the 2 teams for the entire season.
