We're glad that you have chosen to visit this unique ministry of First Baptist Church. We believe that God is interested in the total person . . . spiritually, physically, socially, and mentally.  The Apostle Paul writes in 1 Corinthians 9:22-23, "...I have become all things to all men so that by all possible means I might save some. I do this for the sake of the gospel, that I might share in its blessings." Activities, sports and recreation at FBC exist "for the sake of the gospel."

The purpose of the FBC Activities Ministry is to offer an opportunity to develop relationships with other Christians and to provide a safe, non-threatening place to invite our unchurched friends so that we may lead the lost to Christ. We strive to experience, learn and apply Biblical principles within the context of fellowship, competitive sports and recreational activities and to under gird, strengthen, and supplement other ministries of the church.

Ministry is touching lives by meeting people's needs! To help meet the physical, spiritual and social needs of God's people, the Activities Ministry exists as a great resource to the First Baptist Church family.  The Activities Ministry programming is designed to encourage fellowship, promote interaction between believers and non-believers and enrich lives to share the message of Christ.  As believers, we are to use this gift to introduce people to Christ. The Activities Ministry is an important part of the fellowship and ministry of First Baptist Church. Covered-dish dinners, after-church fellowships, luncheons, and Family Nights help strengthen our relationships with one another in a loving Christian environment.

Recreational and fellowship activities offered to each member of the family include scrap booking, photography, arts and crafts, parents and kids night out, clinics, sports leagues and tournaments. First Baptist Church offers a wide variety of planned and supervised activities and sports for all ages and abilities. We provide recreation as well as outreach opportunities in a relaxed setting.  Benefits include strengthened families, better mental and physical health for individuals, evangelistic opportunities for all FBC members and an alternative choice for quality leisure time activities.

Family enrichment activities such as camping, boating, and retreats provide church families quality recreation time with a Christian focus. The Activities Ministry also gives support to the Sunday School, Preschool and Children's Ministry, Youth Ministry and other church organizations. Our budget makes possible this wide variety of outreach and growth activities to our church and community.
